on a semi-related note, Im officially going to start packing duct tape in my emergency kit after this last weekend. It had here-to-fore been replaced with the superior in practically every way gaffers tape, but it turns out the one thing Duct tape has over gaffers tape is a slippery surface, which would have been nice in applying it to my makeshift ski binding repair. Now I know better, never turn your back on Duct tape.

as a bicycle mechanic that loathes wd-40 as a chain lubricant...that one has been tough for me. I don't currently carry it in my car even. I guess I should.

I've always got wire cutters, wd-40, duct tape, oil, and a hammer in my car. Infinite use out of that bunch.
